The redesign assignment emphasized
on the research aspect of instructional design, how the learner will perceive
the lesson and the technology used, and how to improve the learners’ or
employees’ environment. The original
lesson plan was made as a presentation on what I learned on Action Research
proposal and how I would approach making a specific change within the company I
work for. It was created to demonstrate what, how and why I would like the
specific changes and why the change was beneficial to the company. The lesson plan includes what was learned
through the MATLT program classes, to support, guide and assist the learner in
reaching their goals while maintaining a high ethical practices, strategies and
standards. This lesson was selected for
the Program Learning Outcome 5 to “exemplify ethical practices of technology
usage” because it is based on research where there is an essential requirement
to uphold excellent ethical practices when making changes in a corporate environment.
The ethical practice of the lesson plan holds strong principles of fairness,
structure so control can be distributed equally, all have access to the lesson
plan, and the ability to modify the lesson plan.
Redesigned content
by: Create more narration on slides, added notes to the PowerPoint, provided
more of a guideline on creating an Action Research Proposal, use more
technology, Action Research form will be attached in a link for the learners. Add
narration to Power Point, utilize email to send Action Research form, online forum to teach students that are in
another location, online forum for
learners to discuss research, issue and approaches of the issue.
